About Chrysalis Care
The Heart Behind the Work
Chrysalis Care grew from years of sitting with people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
Working in funeral service taught me a great deal about death—but even more about people. I learned how much it matters to feel heard when life suddenly changes, how overwhelming decisions can become when you are grieving, and how powerful it can be to have someone beside you who isn’t afraid of the difficult conversations.
Over time, I realized that the support people need doesn’t begin when someone dies, and it certainly doesn’t end when the funeral is over.
Chrysalis Care grew from that understanding.

Our Story
Chrysalis Care began with end-of-life care, but over time it became clear that the need for support reaches far beyond the final days of someone’s life.
Through years of working with individuals and families, I saw how grief can begin long before a death and continue long after. I also saw how much uncertainty can surround planning ahead—conversations about wishes, Wills, Personal Directives and the decisions families may one day be asked to make.
Chrysalis Care evolved to meet people in all of those places.
Today, the work brings together grief coaching, advance planning and end-of-life support under one philosophy: people deserve to feel informed, supported and heard during life’s most difficult transitions.
Like the chrysalis itself, some of life’s greatest changes happen in the in-between—the space between what was and what comes next. Chrysalis Care is here to walk beside you through that space.

The Imaginal Space
Inside a chrysalis are imaginal cells — carrying the possibility of what comes next before that new form can even be seen.
I think there are imaginal moments in our lives, too. Grief, change, illness and the end of life can place us in an unfamiliar space between what was and what comes next.
Chrysalis Care exists in that space.
Not to rush transformation or make meaning where there isn’t any, but to offer compassion, guidance and presence while you find your own way through.
