What is an End-of-Life Doula?
An End-of-Life Doula provides compassionate, non-medical support to individuals and families as they navigate serious illness, dying and end of life.
Much like a birth doula supports people as they enter the world, an End-of-Life Doula provides guidance, comfort and presence as someone approaches the end of life.
Every person’s journey is different. My role is to listen, help you understand what to expect, support the choices that matter to you and create space for comfort, dignity and meaningful connection. Support can begin following a serious diagnosis and continue throughout the end-of-life journey, including support for the people who love and care for you.
I believe every person deserves to approach the end of life with dignity, compassion and as much choice as possible — surrounded by what and who matters most to them.
How I Support You and Your Family
Approaching the end of life is deeply personal, and no two people or families experience it in the same way. My role is to walk alongside you — offering practical guidance, emotional support, advocacy and a calm, compassionate presence throughout the journey.
I can help you and your family understand what to expect, talk through wishes and concerns, navigate difficult conversations, explore funeral and after-death choices, and create meaningful rituals or moments that reflect the person and life being honoured.
As a Licensed Funeral Director and Certified Death Doula, I can also provide guidance after death, helping families understand what comes next and navigate the decisions that follow.
You don’t have to know what to do or what to say. Sometimes it simply helps to have someone beside you who does.
